DE LUXE


In the autumn of 2022, we organized a two-day De Luxe pop-up for the first time. It offered guests a glimpse into the past, namely the World Expo 58. Czechoslovakia won the gold star for the best pavilion and for Czechoslovak gastronomy – represented by the team of legendary chef Florian Zimmermann. The Czechoslovak pavilion in Brussels hosted the whole world, both in the popular Pilsner restaurant and in the De Luxe dining room, which we were inspired by.

Creative chefs Jiří Horák, František Skopec and Tomáš Valkovič got their hands on the original recipes from this event. They decided to dust them off and commemorate the international success of the Czechoslovak chefs. During the tasting dinner, guests were able to try Prague crayfish soup, zander on a spit, Pojarski chicken breast, thymus gland with Mornay sauce and Pilsner carbonate.


In August 2023, we repeated the pop-up in the Czechoslovak Pavilion at Letná. The menu, which the chefs had been working on for more than six months, featured other dishes from Expo 58 and expressed a deep respect for the past. This time, the entire experience was supported by the design aspect of the event – curated furniture from the Ones Concept Store and original tableware designed to suit each course of the tasting dinner.
